You feel restless.

Unsatisfied.

Unsure why success doesn't feel enough.

It's Like You're Stuck in the Same Old Patterns

At work.

In relationships.

In your own mind.

And no matter what you do - studying, thinking, "mind exploration" - you can't break free.

Phase 2:

Reprocessing & Release

We begin by looking at your life story, patterns, and current struggles.

This helps uncover unconscious drivers and emotional blind spots you may not even realize influence your behavior.

What is psychodynamic therapy?
Psychodynamic therapy (sometimes called psychoanalysis) is a form of talk therapy that explores the unconscious factors influencing your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It helps you uncover patterns and beliefs formed early in life that may be limiting your personal or professional growth.
How is it different from other types of therapy?
Unlike cognitive-behavioral therapy or solution-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy goes deeper than symptoms. Instead of just managing anxiety or stress, we explore why those patterns exist and how they are connected to your past experiences, giving you lasting insight and self-understanding.
What can I expect in a session?
You’ll share thoughts, feelings, and experiences while we explore recurring patterns, emotions, and relationships. Together, we make connections between past experiences and current challenges to help you gain clarity and perspective.
How long does psychodynamic therapy take?
Psychodynamic therapy is typically a longer-term process because real insight and change take time. The pace is tailored to your needs – quality and depth matter more than speed.
Who can benefit from psychodynamic therapy?
Professionals, high-achievers, or anyone feeling “stuck” in repetitive patterns, dissatisfaction, or relational challenges can benefit. It’s especially helpful for those seeking meaning, clarity, and lasting change rather than quick fixes.
Can psychodynamic therapy help with anxiety, depression, or stress?
Absolutely. By uncovering the underlying causes of these feelings – often rooted in unresolved past experiences – you can reduce symptoms, make sense of emotional triggers, and gain tools to respond differently in your daily life.
Do I need to be introspective or reflective to benefit?
No prior experience is required. While openness helps, psychodynamic therapy is guided – you’re supported every step of the way. You’ll learn how to reflect meaningfully, even if that doesn’t come naturally at first.
I’ve tried therapy before, and it didn’t help. Why would this be different?
If you’ve tried other approaches without lasting change, it’s often because the work stayed at the surface. You learned skills or talked about feelings, but the underlying patterns never shifted. Psychodynamic therapy addresses those patterns directly – the ones formed in your earliest relationships that still run your life today.
Do you take insurance?
I’m not in-network with insurance companies. This means you would pay the session fee at the time of the appointment and later seek reimbursement from your insurance company. At the end of each month, I can provide you with a superbill to give to your insurance company.

You can see if you have out-of-network coverage by logging into the insurance company website or by calling the number on the back of your card. Here is a step-by-step guide with a list of questions to ask in case helpful: http://bit.ly/2y0Uvb0

I’m of course happy to answer any questions you have when we speak.

Psychodynamic Therapy Uncovers What's Beneath These Patterns

There are a number of forces quietly guiding your choices and your behavior.

  • Old experiences
  • Unconscious beliefs
  • Emotional habits.

Understanding them is your first step to true freedom.

Psychodynamic therapy can help professionals who:

  • Feel stuck despite outward success.
  • Struggle with self-doubt, dissatisfaction, or perfectionism.
  • Repeat relationship or work patterns they don’t understand.
  • Want deeper meaning and clarity in their personal or professional life.

It's Time to Go DEEP

Unlike short-term talk therapy or symptom-focused approaches, psychodynamic therapy goes deep.

We explore the root causes of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors – many of which are shaped by early life experiences.

In therapy with me, you’ll learn to:

  • Recognize recurring patterns that hold you back.
  • Understand why certain situations trigger strong reactions.
  • Gain insight into your emotions, desires, and relationships.
  • Make choices from awareness instead of habit or fear.

This isn’t about quick fixes – it’s about lasting self-understanding and growth.
